Here is the content of the interview I conducted with
Jeremy Gittens by mail.

(Me) If it were possible, would you make more episodes of KUA?
(Jeremy) Yes - Available and willing. I miss both the production and cast.

(Me) Did you take lessons from any member of the cloth on how to portry a Vicar?
(Jeremy) No. I just imagined what it would be like in the situation and tried to keep him reasonably believable.

(Me) What is your opinion of the job PBS are doing to promote KUA in the States?
(Jeremy) Excellent!! It is good to know that people enjoy something thats been part of your life for so long.

(Me) Have you worked with any of the cast of KUA since?
(Jeremy) No, although I have met several of them since. Whoops! I just remembered doing a play with David Janson who played the Postman.

(Me) What was it like working with Patricia Routledge?
(Jeremy) She is one of the funniest ladies I've worked with, a natural clown (this is the most common question I am asked).

(Me) Can we expect to see you in any TV shows or Movies in the near future?
(Jeremy) No movies I am afraid. That's an exclusive club over here of which I am not a member. I have done various TV shows which I don't think go to the USA, as yet.

(Me) Did you manage to keep a keepsake from the show?
(Jeremy) No. If I'd realised that we wouldn't make any more I might have pinched something.

(Me) Do you have any pets?
(Jeremy) Two cats - Fred and Barney. One hamster - Flakey. Two gold fish and two stick insects, not named!

(Me) Do you know a Hyacinth in real life?
(Jeremy) Bits of my Mum - sorry Mum! But, don't we all know a 'Hyacinth'? I think that's the success of the show.

(Me) Do you know a 'Hyacinth' in real life?
(Jeremy) The joy of working with good writers is that the character leaps off the page. I do however know a few Onslows, just as I know a few Hyacinths.

(Me) What theatrical parts do you like doing?
(Jeremy) From King Lear to the Rocky horror Picture Show! I am currently playing Sir William Penn in a new play about Samuel Pepys, a 17th century costume drama.
